India's first and biggest youth volunteering street theatre festival to raise social consciousness

Be on the street, V4V's flagship program, is India's first and biggest youth street theatre festival. It gives a platform for college students to combine art and social relevance. College teams from different cities support the UN's Sustainable Development Goals by putting up street theatre performances for the public at large, while having fun and being creative. V4V-BOTS enters Season 5 this year, after four tremendous seasons since 2011.

Season 5

ACTIVITY DETAILS

  1. Volunteer a day: Each street theatre team can volunteer one day or 1 show for the public/common man on Delhi/NCR streets. Be-artsy will arrange the venue and permission for all the teams who would like to volunteer a street show in Delhi/NCR.
  2. Battle of Thoughts: An opportunity for two street theatre teams to discuss their 2014-15 street theatre production with each other. The process of discussion will open avenues to constructively criticize the two scripts leading to a crisp and clear thought on the social issue raised by each team. (12 slots available for 24 teams). Registration on first come first served basis.
  3. Jingle Mingle: On the day of the final festival, all the performing teams will be given an on-the-spot topic for jingle writing.
  4. BOTS Rally*: With the idea of celebrating the art of street theatre, BOTS Rally invites all participants to sing, dance and celebrate their art form on the Streets of Delhi University.
  5. BOTS Competition*: A reason to bring youth together to raise social awareness in an entertaining yet informative way. Street theatre teams will compete among each other during Season Five BOTS.
